Writing and the Things you Love


Reading is food for the soul. As such, it is one of the things that fuel the creative process of writing. It is a way to meet great minds and learn from them.


Learning is the addiction of smart people. They always want to improve and strive for perfection in their many areas of interest. The more you know, the more you will be able to convey to the reader with your writing.


Dancing is a very pleasing activity. At first sight – dancing and writing have nothing to do at each other, but if you look closely… you will find out that as art forms they are very strongly related.


A picture, they say, is worth a thousand of words. All my very naïve poetry that I have on the blog, though very whimsical, has been inspired by a picture.


Most people I know, writers or no, can not live without their music. When you are in the process of writing, you can always steal the mood of a song you like. Personally, I listen to music most of the time and I think it’s inspirational.


Writers create beauty with words. Beautiful words are in-love material – they can touch you to tears, they can melt you like a good song. We will explore what makes writing beautiful.


Blogging is the hobby of passionate writers. It’s a way to contact readers directly, and even the perfect blog can’t exist without its faithful congregation of readers. To write a blog nobody reads is rather demotivating.


Every challenge is getting out of your comfort zone and doing something you do not do in general. Writing is also a challenge, every bit of it. Challenges are essential for creativity.


Writing is much like stiring a potion, and could be as great as the gourmet of a sensational chef, or a complete ruination of the ingredients.


Writing and culture are intertwined. Rumi one of the deepest and most passionate poets the world has known could have lived only in Persia, ancient Iran. Among the world’s oldest and richest cultures it has influenced Italy, Greece, Macedonia and Russia as well as other parts of Asia. Persian poetry written in Farsi is classified among the most beautiful poetry in the world. 


Languages are inspiring. They are related to our thinking, our culture and our social identity, our discourse, and they definitely have to do with writing.


Journaling is in itself a pretty creative and artistic activity, which gives you a sense of achievement every single day. It combines writing with doodling. When you want to complete something – put it down on writing – that’s the rule. Spell it so that it can come true…
